Snowflake Ceramics are the handmade pottery creations crafted by Mads Smith, a talented artisan from the Central Coast of NSW, Australia.
The vision behind Snowflake Ceramics is deeply rooted in the creation of handcrafted ceramic pieces that not only bring aesthetic beauty but also serve multiple practical functions.
Snowflake Ceramics was established by Mads in June 2020 amidst the challenges posed by the first Covid-19 lockdown. It was founded with a vision to bring artistry and craftsmanship into homes all around the world.
Snowflake Ceramics had its humble beginnings in a cozy 2-bedroom rental home, starting as a creative outlet amid the chaos of the 2020 pandemic. At that time, Mads juggled a full time role as an Executive Assistant at a Property Investment firm located in the Sydney CBD.
As Snowflake Ceramics continued to expand and flourish, Mads made the choice to step away from her secure full-time corporate position and embark on the journey of becoming a professional ceramic artist.
For the past three years, Snowflake Ceramics has successfully operated as a full-time business & Mads celebrated the arrival of her newborn baby in May 2022.
Now running Snowflake Ceramics as a full-time mum, the choice to leave her corporate job behind was the best decision of her life.
